Sizzix Die Cutting Tutorial | Card by Jeanne Streiff

I am so thrilled with the new Flip-its dies. I love the new size and that they are made as Framelits (wafer thin and easy to store and super easy travel with!).  There are six designs in this new size.

Look at how many shape dies come with this set! Wow!

Die cut your card with 657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine, and659173 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 11PK – Card, Fancy Frame Flip-its #2.

The creases are already there! Depending on your machine you may need a 655092 Sizzix Accessory – Premium Crease Pad. I didn’t need to use the crease pad.

Die cut two white shapes with 657900 Sizzix Big Shot Machine, and659173 Sizzix Framelits Die Set 11PK – Card, Fancy Frame Flip-its #2 for the inside and front of card. These are show just as the come out of the die. The piercing holes are done for you! There will be a few that will need poked through (I used the tip of my scissors) but most of the holes will open up if you rub your finger along the back of the die cut. The teeny pieces sometimes need a nudge to come loose.

Sponge edges of die cuts with brown ink and assemble.

Now the fun starts! Decorate the front with stickers, cutouts, stamps or whatever you want. As seen in the first picture I put a paper cutout fishing fly and sentiment on the front panel and then added the inside sentiment with a little fishing bobber to tie everything together.

Great Day

Hi! my name is Jeanne Streiff. I live in the great state of Texas with my husband of almost 30 years. We share four grown sons and two absolutely perfect grandchildren. You can find my work regularly in assorted books and magazines. When I’m not in the craft room you can find me reading, watching movies (I love a good campy monster movie) or hanging out with the dog or the chickens. I have dabbled in many crafts over the years but now I work mainly with paper. There is something about creating a nice card or handmade gift that just can’t be beat. My life is good. I get to spend hours each day playing with wonderful products and I get to work with some of my favorite people.

Cool card! My husband and son would appreciate that sentiment. The flip its framelits set is a great idea and deal with all those dies in one set. I will be requesting this from my local store. I really like being able to use the stamps I already own with the flip-its to make cards. This expands the use of my stamps and paper.

Love The Card !! At first glance I thought it all looked very compicated, but with your pictures and directions it all made perfect sense !! Can’t wait to buy one of the new Flip-its dies and start making some cards like this for my family and friends !!

What do you think?
